Booking conditions
Full payment is required for all stays where the total amount of your stay is £200 or less. Where the value of your stay is more than £200 then we will require a deposit of 50% of the total cost of your stay with the remaining balance payable upon arrival, UNLESS, your stay includes school holidays, bank holidays or a date that we regard will be in high demand (e.g Ironman Wales) and therefore, full payment will be required at the time of booking. Due to bank charges and administrative costs it would always be our preference to receive full payment whenever possible.
Deposits/full payments are non-refundable though we are happy to amend your holiday dates to within three months of the original booking arrival date, subject to availability, providing at least four weeks’ notice has been given of the original arrival date that you are no longer able to honour. We would recommend that all clients consider taking out holiday insurance.
Bookings affected by COVID restrictions.
Bookings may become “frustrated” due to local lockdown law in your area (e.g Wales), tier 2, 3 or higher in the rest of the UK. Please note that your booking does not become “frustrated” by any lockdown law
until the arrival date (and only then if lockdown law continues to apply on that date).
As a small family run park we would wish to carry any payment(s) you have made forward to a future stay with us as a credit if your booking becomes “frustrated”.
In the event of a fixed length firebreak in Wales then we would also wish to carry any payment that you have made forward to a future stay with us as a credit.
However, if you would prefer to request a full refund we will of course do so, providing your arrival date has passed and that it can be proven that lockdown law has indeed caused your booking to become “frustrated”.
If your booking is not “frustrated” at your arrival date then full payment will have been made and no refunds will be due.
We reserve the right to cancel your booking in the unlikely event of conditions beyond our control, and in this event, we will return the money you have paid or will offer alternative dates. We do not pay compensation.
Pitches are available from 1pm and must be vacated by 10.55am. We would remind customers that the shower/toilet facilities are closed at 11am for approx. one hour for cleaning.
Should a specific pitch be required, please enquire at the time of booking. However, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate your request and reserve the right to change your pitch to accommodate overlapping bookings.
We reserve the right to refuse single sex groups as well as groups aged 18 and under.
Pitches are generously sized. Approximate measurements of your unit should be given when making a booking.
Electric facilities are available on all pitches (10 amp), free of charge. Please note, for your safety, generators are not permitted.
All motorhomes and caravans brought to site, must have adequate liability insurance.
If you need to change or amend any aspect of your booking you must contact us immediately to see if we can accommodate your request.
All persons staying on or visiting the site use the facilities provided entirely at their own risk, The Buttles Caravan Park and its’ owners cannot accept any liability for loss, damage or accident to persons or property.
We reserve the right to ask any customer and his or her party to leave the caravan park at anytime (without compensation being payable to the visitor or any member of his or her party) if it deemed necessary by The Buttles Caravan Park.
Once a booking has been confirmed, you will be deemed to have read and accepted these booking conditions and site information.
Site information
Please take a few minutes at the start of your holiday to read our Site Information.
Visitors
All new arrivals must report to Reception where the owners will direct you to your allocated pitch.
Vehicles
No parking on the grass is permitted. Only one car may be parked on each pitch if your pitch has been designed for a car parking space. All other cars to be parked in the designated car parking areas. Please take advice from the owners regarding parking of extra cars.
Driving around the park
- Please ensure driving around the park is kept to a minimum.
- Please use the roadways provided to access your pitch.
- The speed limit on the park is 5mph.
- Care must be taken when riding bicycles around site. Please use the roads and avoid cycling between pitches or around the facilities block.
Children
Children must not be allowed to play in or around the facilities block or in the park entrance. Children must be supervised at all times. Children under the age of ten should be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times whilst using the facilities block.
Noise
We ask that all holiday makers show consideration to each other and keep noise levels to a minimum, especially during the evening and after 11pm.
Dogs
Dogs are welcome in the park, but must be kept on a lead, no more than 3 metres, long, at all times. If possible, please do not let your dog foul on the site. Always clean up after them. A doggie foul disposal bin is provided for your convenience. Dogs must not be left unattended on the park.
Barbecues and camp fires
Barbecues are permitted but must be raised above the ground or placed on suitable surfaces (ie gravel) so damage to the grass is avoided.
Open camp fires are not permitted.
Pitch cleanliness and litter
The area surrounding your pitch must be kept clean and tidy at all times whilst occupying the pitch and on your departure. Litter and refuse must be disposed of in the designated areas provided. To conserve water, washing of caravans/motorhomes/vehicles is prohibited for guests staying on a touring basis.
Groups
The Owners reserve the right to refuse single sex groups as well as groups aged 18 and under.
Shower and toilet facilities
Please take care as floors may be slippery. To keep our high standards please leave the facilities in a clean state. Chemical toilets must only be emptied at the disposal point provided.
Pot washing facilities
Please keep the pot washing area clean and tidy ready for the next persons’ use. Pot washing must only take place in the designated area and should not take place in the shower/basin facilities.
Electric
Electric facilities are available on all pitches (10amp), free of charge. Please note, for your safety, generators are not permitted. In the event of your electric tripping please contact the owners. Please do not connect to any other electrical point. We will re-instate your electric.
Safety
- Caravans/motorhomes may only be occupied by the maximum berth that it was designed/intended for.
- Smoking is not permitted in the facilities block.
- No boats may be stored on your pitch or underneath your caravan/motorhome.
- Keep a torch handy for emergencies
- Caravans and motor homes should carry a fire extinguisher which is positioned correctly by the entrance
- Make sure that any gas pipe connection inside your caravan is secure.
- Fit and test a smoke alarm in your caravan.
- Turn off all appliances before you go out or go to bed.
- Always remove litter and rubbish from the side of your caravan.
- Chinese lanterns can be dangerous and are therefore not allowed to be used on the site.
As soon as you can, once you have arrived, make yourself familiar with the site’s fire safety precautions and location of fire points. We do not object to guests visiting you at The Buttles, however, we do wish to be notified, as we have a duty of care to know who is on site. All persons staying on or visiting the site use the facilities provided entirely at their own risk, The Buttles Caravan Park and its’ owners cannot accept any liability for loss, damage or accident to persons or property.

Please Note: This information has been put in place for your own safety and to ensure that all our customers have an enjoyable stay. Anyone causing a nuisance should be reported to reception, and we will endeavour to resolve the problem. Persons continually causing a nuisance to others will be evicted from the site without a refund.
