Local Area

There are many local, beautiful walks to enjoy.  If we’re heading to the coast we ten to usually walk to Kilgetty and then take the quiet country back roads which take us to Coppit Hall Beach.   From there we can either turn left along the flat coast path to Wiseman’s Bridge or we can turn right to Saundersfoot.  Or we can go straight onto the beach.

Train timetables

If you prefer to travel by train then it’s a 30 minute walk to the Kilgetty train station and .  We’d advise that it’s better to go by bus or taxi to Saundersfoot due to the location of the train station.  The train station in Tenby provides very easy access to the town and beaches on foot.  When you arrive at the station you need to give a clear hand signal at the approaching train as this is a request stop service.  For your return journey please advise the conductor in good time to stop at Kilgetty.

Here’s a link for the train timetable – it takes usually nine minutes to travel from Kilgetty Station to Tenby Station with no changes.

Whether your travelling to and from ireland you can stay with us on the way

The Buttles caravan and glamping park in Begelly is ideally situated to make a comfortable stop on the way to or from the Irish Ferries port at Pembroke Dock, from which it’s a four hour crossing to Rosslare in Ireland. The site is about 12 miles from the port and usually about a 20 minute drive.

The ferries often leave very early in the morning or get into Pembroke Dock after midnight, so instead of starting or ending your day exhausted by late night driving, why not stay with us and enjoy your holiday for longer?

Making a late or early crossing, that’s no problem. Just let us know when you’ll be arriving and when you need to leave, and we’ll take care of the rest.
